2. Installation instructions:

Unzip the entire contents of the .zip file to your 'Map's directory.
The path to this directory should look similar to this:

My Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data\Maps


3. Uninstall information:
=========================

To uninstall the map, simply delete the 'Rocket Science' folder from your 'Maps' directory.


4. How to play the map:
=======================

This map is a special scripted 'Art of Defence' style map. This means that it is NOT your
ordinary skirmish map. Up to four human players can do battle against one AI player, which
will attack from certain areas on the map for a set duration of time. Your mission
objectives will vary, depending on the level of difficulty selected, however there are two
common themes present throughout the levels.

1. Stay alive!

AND/OR

2. Defend one or more structures from attack.

To win, complete the mission objectives outlined in the introduction at the start of each
level.

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST SELECT THE 'USA' AI AND PLACE IT AT THE HIGHEST STARTING POSITION
AT THE TOP OF THE MAP FOR THE GAME TO FUNCTION PROPERLY! IF YOU SELECT THE WRONG AI OR PLACE
THE AI AT THE INCORRECT STARTING LOCATION, THE GAME WILL NOT START!


- You can NOT win the game playing with yourself. ;)
- You should play the map with a total of 4 human players against 1 AI, as that's the way it
  is meant to be played.
- ONLY TAKE OIL OF YOUR OWN COLOUR! THERE ARE 'PATHS' OF VARYING COLOURS COMING FROM EACH
  STARTING LOCATION INDICATING WHICH TECH BUILDINGS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE CAPTURED BY WHICH
  PLAYER. DO NOT CAPTURE TECH BUILDINGS WHICH ARE ON A DIFFERENT COLOUR THAN THAT WHICH IS
  UNDER YOUR COMMAND CENTER!! THIS IS A *TEAM* GAME.


***THERE ARE FOUR *GREEN* ROCKETS NEAR THE STARTING POSITION OF EACH PLAYER. THEY CAN BE
CAPTURED TO TRIGGER AN AUTOMATIC LAUNCH AT EACH OF THEIR RESPECTIVE ENTRANCES!! THESE
GREEN ROCKETS HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH CRUISE MISSILE SILOS IN 'SURVIVAL MODE', WHICH CAN
BE FIRED MANUALLY EVERY 2 MINUTES.***

CAUTION:
========
CRUISE MISSILES HAVE A LOW FLAT TRAJECTORY, SIMILAR TO A TANK SHELL SHOT, AND CAN BE
*BLOCKED* BY OBSTRUCTIONS LIKE TOWERS AND WALLS.

8. Not so Frequently Asked Questions:
=====================================

Q. Why is the map stuttering?
-----------------------------
A. This could be due to various reasons:

1. One or more scripts are currently running and are being processed:
Be patient, the stuttering/pausing should not last too long, and will eventually go away.
This may be most evident at the start of the game.

2. Eventual game slowdown over time:
When there are lots of units moving all over the map, the game WILL slow down. The solution:

If they belong to the AI, DESTROY THEM!

3. You are running programs in the background that are taking up resources. Obviously, this
might have an effect on game performance. Close them down before you play.


Q. I keep losing/dying! This is too hard! What can I do to win?
---------------------------------------------------------------
A. Build QUICKLY! BUILD 9 DOZERS/WORKERS FROM YOUR COMMAND CENTER WHEN THE GAME STARTS, AND
DO NOT STOP BUILDING!!

- TRY NOT TO LEAVE A SINGLE DOZER/WORKER IDLE! YOU MUST BUILD A LOT OF DEFENCES AND DO IT
QUICKLY TO SURVIVE! MONEY IS NOT A PROBLEM HERE, UNLESS YOU ARE EXTREMELY WASTEFUL AND/OR
CARELESS!

- Don't group your power. Don't put all your defences at the front of your base, or only
at the entrances. You need defence everywhere. Be prepared for ANYTHING.

- PAY ATTENTION!

The rocket that you have to protect is sitting near the middle of the map, and is easily
accessible from many directions. You must protect it from all angles against both ground
and air assaults, if you want to win the game. The moment it takes damage, repair it, and
don't place anything that could draw fire, too close to it.


Q. Why does the map 'pause' at the start of the game?
-----------------------------------------------------
A. This is due to the game initializing and the base complex being generated. Please DO NOT
KICK anyone who appears to be 'lagging' at the start of the game, as the effect is only
temporary depending on the speed of the players computer. It is rare for anyone to take over
30 seconds to load at the start of the game, let alone one minute.


9. Miscellaneous:
=================

This map expands on what was learnt when I created 'Lab X' (also downloadable from
www.cncden.com), and finally includes the launching rocket that was removed at the last
minute from Lab X, for reasons which won't be discussed here. A broader array of subroutines
and some new tricks that have been discovered over time, will hopefully result in a more
interesting game experience for the AOD crowd. I hope you like the map.

Due to some complications with the AI, 'SURVIVAL' MODE is not as difficult as I would have
liked it to be. 'SURVIVAL' MODE spawns more paradrops, less ground rushes than the other
levels, and has a shorter duration of time in which the players can build before they are
attacked.


10. Changes from 1.0
====================

- Fixed a bug that caused the radar display to malfunction in the EASY 'DEFEND' level.
- Fixed a bug that screwed up the functionality of the keyboard after failing the EASY
  or MEDIUM 'DEFEND' levels online.
- Some minor team tweaks.
- Sound effect and music tweaks.
- Added hard script ('SURVIVAL' MODE).
- Switched to a more flexible base setup for the entire map.
- Numerous other tweaks.
